Job Summary We are seeking a provider to deliver medical care, medication management, and clinical oversight in a detox and residential substance use disorder treatment setting. The role focuses on patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Conduct medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Provide medical monitoring and medication management in detox and residential care Stabilize patients with substance use disorders to support engagement in treatment Order and review medications, labs, and urine drug screens (UDS) Document all medical care in the electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review (UR) teams Ensure compliance with state regulations, JCAHO, CARF, and ASAM standards Manage daily and weekly patient schedules efficiently Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA‑C) license in Colorado Active DEA registration Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health (1+ year preferred) Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team What Sets Us Apart Avenues Recovery Center at Denver is a 100‑bed detox and inpatient substance use disorder treatment facility in a newly expanded space.
