Seasonal CNA, Float Coverage

Location: Providence, Rhode Island and surrounding communities, in clients' homes

Job type: Seasonal, part time, up to 29 hours per week

Season: Now through January 15, 2027

Reports to: Care Coordination Team, with clinical supervision by our RN

Industry: Home health care services

Pay: $27.32 per hour, time and a half on holidays ($40.98 per hour)

About the role

Every winter our clients still need care while our caregivers take holidays, get sick, and call out. We are looking for CNAs who can step in and keep that care going. In this seat our values are specific. Reliable means when you confirm a shift, you show up, because a client is waiting at home. Ethical means your clock in, clock out, and notes match exactly what you did. Compassionate means treating a client you met today with the same care as one you have known for years. Professional means following the plan of care every time, in every home.

This is a float position. You will cover call-outs, open shifts, staff vacations, and holidays, and you may work with different clients in different areas from shift to shift. It suits a CNA who adapts quickly, likes variety, and wants a way in with a growing agency. CNAs who do strong work this season may be offered a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes
• Follow each client's plan of care, and call the office right away if a client's condition changes
• Clock in and out at the client's home and complete visit notes in our mobile app (EVV)
• Confirm each shift when it is offered and arrive on time
• Protect client privacy and treat every client and family with dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island CNA license
• CPR certification
• Background check (BCI fingerprints)
• Negative TB test, physical exam within the past year, and required immunizations
• Available to work at least one weekend per month
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance if you drive for work
• Must speak English and Spanish

How success is measured

• Every confirmed shift is covered, on time
• Every visit is clocked in and out at the client's home and documented the same day
• Changes in a client's condition are reported to the office right away
• Your documents and in-services stay current, so you never miss a shift over paperwork

What we offer

• $27.32 per hour
• Time and a half on holidays ($40.98 per hour)
• Mileage paid for trips over 15 miles ($0.67 per mile)
• Paid weekly
• A chance to be offered a permanent position at the end of the season

This is a seasonal, part-time position. It does not include PTO or health insurance.

Working here

Caregivers, coordinators, nursing, and human resources work side by side, in English and in Spanish. When something comes up on a shift, you call and someone answers. People help before they are asked, and good work gets recognized.
