RN Clinical Reviewer Maternal

Job Summary As an RN Clinical Reviewer Maternal, you will influence patient care through collaborative relationships, participate in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives, and shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and the future of nursing. Responsibilities Review patients' medical records and document compliance with documentation standards using QAPI approved audit tools. Perform audits on a regular basis in accordance with the maternal program plan. Collect pertinent data using appropriate assessment techniques. Prioritize data collection by collaborating with the Maternal Program Manager or Neonatal Program Manager as appropriate. Discern critical findings and communicate issues to the Maternal/Neonatal Program Manager and appropriate department manager so education or counseling can be provided quickly to prevent further issues. Communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the appropriate patient care providers in a timely manner. Collect data including patient, significant others, and health care providers when appropriate. Qualifications Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing – required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field – preferred Experience 1 year of RN experience – required License/Certification Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license in accordance with law and regulation.
