You will play a central role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating youth with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric challenges in our outpatient, residential, and school-based programs. We understand the critical role psychiatric professionals play in the lives of children and adolescents, and we ensure you have the clinical resources, interdisciplinary partnership, and professional development opportunities needed to excel and advance in your career.Excellent Clinical Support – You'll work closely with licensed clinicians, milieu staff, nurses, and supervisors who ensure continuity of care and shared decision-making.Retirement & Long-Term Security – 401(k) plan with employer contributions to help you save for the future.Professional Growth & Development – Interest-free tuition loans, ongoing CEU-accredited training, and opportunities for career advancement.Supportive, Mission-Driven Culture – Join a collaborative team where your work truly makes a difference for youth and families.What You'll DoAs a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will:Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide treatment, including medication management, for children and adolescents.Monitor treatment plans and levels of care to ensure effective, appropriate interventions.Complete timely and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment recommendations, and discharge planning.Provide psychiatric consultation and clinical guidance to the treatment team.Participate in clinical rounds, medication reviews, and treatment team meetings.Apply knowledge of child and adolescent development in diagnostic and treatment decisions.Assess and treat adolescent substance use disorders.Supervise psychiatry trainees and APRNs as assigned.Provide coverage for colleagues as needed to maintain continuity of care.Participate in the agency's after-hours on-call rotation.What We're Looking ForActive MD or DO required, with board certification or board eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.Must maintain all required Connecticut licenses and certifications, including:Connecticut Physician LicenseControlled Substance RegistrationFederal DEA RegistrationExperience with youth mental health, trauma, family systems, and neurodevelopmental disorders.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.Dedication to ethical practice, diversity, equity, and professional integrity.Experience in outpatient, residential, or community behavioral health settings preferred.Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout clinical, residential, and school-based program areas as needed for psychiatric evaluations and collaboration with staff.Ability to perform essential job functions that may include prolonged periods of computer use, documentation, and consultation.Comfortable working in a behavioral health environment where exposure to emotional distress, behavioral escalation, or crisis situations may occur.Potential exposure to bodily fluids or other environmental hazards consistent with healthcare and residential treatment settings; must follow universal precautions at all times.Join Our TeamIf you are a compassionate, knowledgeable psychiatrist committed to supporting youth through healing, growth, and empowerment, we'd love to hear from you.
