Join a dynamic healthcare team in Rochester, New York, as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in both acute and long-term care. This role involves 12-hour night shifts, three times a week, with every other weekend required. The assignment guarantees 36 hours per week, providing stability and consistency. You'll work with a diverse patient population, including those diagnosed with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and infections. Responsibilities include ventilator management, ABG sampling, pulmonary hygiene, and comprehensive patient assessments. Utilize advanced equipment such as HAMILTON VENT, SERVO-U VENT, and Airvo2 to deliver high-quality care. Certifications such as BLS and RRT are mandatory, and experience in adult critical care and emergency departments is essential. Additional skills such as airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilator troubleshooting will be utilized daily. The ability to assist with intubations and manage high-pressure situations is key.
