Indonesian Localization QA Tester

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Tester who is native in the Indonesian language to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in QA or Linguistic Testing, along with fluency in English (written and spoken).

Job Description

The Localization QA Tester is responsible for evaluating localized content to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, functional quality, and a consistent user experience across supported languages. This role executes test cases, reviews translated content, identifies and reports defects, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to maintain high localization quality.

Role and Responsibilities

• Execute full localization QA test cycles across different platforms, OS versions, and testing environments (including production).
\n
• Review, verify, edit, score, and translate copy across a wide range of media and content types.
\n
• Validate localized content for tone, grammar, context, cultural relevance, and linguistic correctness.
\n
• Evaluate UI behavior for truncation, clipping, alignment, wrapping, and encoding issues.
\n
• Report and track bugs clearly and accurately; retest to confirm fixes.
\n
• Provide clear feedback and suggestions regarding linguistic errors, UX issues, and functional defects.
\n
• Contribute updates and recommendations to Style Guides and Terminology Databases.
\n
• Assist with ad‑hoc localization QA tasks, spot checks, and build verifications.
\n
• Collaborate with localization PMs, translators, developers, and QA teams.
\n
• Suggest process or workflow improvements to increase QA efficiency, scalability, and consistency.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

\n
• Native‑level proficiency in the target language.
\n
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
\n
• Tech‑savvy; comfortable testing across multiple tools, devices, and platforms.
\n
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, bug tracking, and reporting.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify nuanced linguistic or UI issues.
\n
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally.
\n

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

\n
• 2+ years of experience in QA, Localization QA, or linguistic testing.
\n
• Experience with CAT tools or localization platforms (e.g. Worldserver, memoQ, Smartling, Lokalise).
\n
• Familiarity with internationalization and multilingual UX concepts.
\n
• Familiarity with multiple file formats, e.g. .CSV, JSON, HTML, Unicode, etc.
\n
• Strong proficiency with macOS/iOS environments.
\n
