Locums Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant to provide full-time, ongoing coverage at a 56-bed psychiatric facility in Mansfield Center, Connecticut. The provider will oversee patients’ medical needs and perform routine physical examinations.

Compensation: $140 Per Hour

Patient Volume: Approximately 10–12 patients per day

Patient Population: Psychiatric patients requiring medical oversight

Responsibilities

Provide medical oversight for patients within the psychiatric facility.

Perform comprehensive physical examinations and routine medical assessments.

Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.

Monitor patient health status and address medical concerns as they arise.

Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and laboratory studies.

Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with the psychiatric and medical care teams.

Coordinate medical care and specialty referrals when necessary.

Provide patient education and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Collaborate with nursing, psychiatry, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant

Active Connecticut license
