Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

Job TitleOur Madison site supports manufacturing and engineering operations focused on patient care and anesthesia delivery. Teams here work across quality, design, and production – helping ensure the products that reach healthcare providers uphold industry requirements to ensure patient safety and clinician approval.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to engineers during the design and development of manufacturing processes.Assist in creating and modifying facility layouts and production floor plans.Conduct equipment testing to ensure proper functionality and performance.Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and identify solutions to routine technical issues.Document test procedures, results, and findings accurately.Support process improvement and equipment validation activities.Follow established engineering and manufacturing standards, procedures, and safety requirements.Collaborate with engineers and other team members to support production objectives.Qualifications / RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.0-1 year of general work experience.Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technical procedures.Ability to perform equipment testing and troubleshooting activities.Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.Ability to follow instructions and work under close supervision.Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard office software.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Desired CharacteristicsModerate understanding of general technical and manufacturing concepts.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Analytical and problem-solving mindset.Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Dependable and self-motivated with a positive attitude.Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a manufacturing environment.Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Typical Reporting StructureReports to a Supervisor or Manager.Works under the close direction and guidance of senior personnel within the functional area.GE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
