But there are a few character traits you should have from the get-go. You listen well, have great decision making skills and are passionate about your customer focus. You don't mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) providing assistance with eating, light housekeeping, laundry and other household chores. You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen. You are able to assist the client in many ways—this could include (but is not limited to) providing medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range-of-motion exercises, dementia care, and companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.Must Haves:Must be 18 years of ageMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the jobMust possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insuranceMust have a high school diploma or GEDMust have the ability to pass a full employment background checkNice to Have's (not required):CNA or Health Aide (HHA) license6 months of experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)Perks:Flexibility!
