Job Overview The law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney for its litigation team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves handling insurance defense, municipal litigation, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage discovery, hearings, and client communications effectively. Duties Conduct research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents to support litigation strategy. Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and persuasive arguments. Prepare and respond to interrogatories, disclosures, depositions, and document production. Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials; assist in trial preparation. Communicate clearly with clients, agencies, courts, and opposing counsel. Provide updates and advise clients on legal rights and case strategy. Analyze case law, statutes, and facts to support strategic decisions. Requirements Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Arizona, in good standing. 0-3 years of litigation experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge in insurance defense, municipal litigation, and commercial litigation preferred. Education Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Certifications Active license to practice law in Arizona. Skills Strong legal research and writing abilities. Excellent communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
