Team members partner with health system leaders, experienced consultants, and technology specialists to improve clinical application operations, advance modernization, and support reliable healthcare delivery.As Director, Clinical IT Delivery Leader for Owensboro Health, you will serve as the senior account-based relationship and Clinical IT leader for the Clinical Applications portfolio. You will be the primary connection between Owensboro Health leaders and Optum Provider Technology Services Capability Delivery teams, translating client strategies, priorities, expectations, and concerns into coordinated delivery outcomes.The role is accountable for executive client engagement, account-level governance, delivery oversight, expectation management, and alignment across clinical technology services. The IT Delivery Leader does not replace Capability Delivery leadership or directly manage the day-to-day work of capability resources. Instead, this leader works in close partnership with Capability, Domain, and Sub-Domain leaders, who retain responsibility for technical delivery, solution quality, resource assignment, workforce management, and execution within their areas.If you are located in Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee or Ohio, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Build and maintain solid client relationships by understanding Owensboro Health priorities, operating challenges, strategic objectives, decision-making processes, and measures of success, serving as the primary ClinicalApplications relationship leader and trusted advisor to Owensboro HealthRepresent the client perspective within Optum and provide a clear, consolidated account view of priorities, commitments, risks, dependencies, and emerging needsPartner with Capability, Domain, and Sub-Domain leaders to translate client demand into appropriately scoped, prioritized, resourced, and governed delivery plansLead account-level governance for the Clinical Applications portfolio, including delivery reviews, service reviews, executive updates, roadmap discussions, issue escalation, and decision trackingMonitor the overall health of client delivery, including service performance, SLA adherence, project milestones, operational risk, aging work, recurring issues, client satisfaction, and agreed corrective actionsCommunicate status, tradeoffs, constraints, and recovery plans to Owensboro Health and Optum leaders in a timely, transparent, and business-focused mannerOwn the client-facing coordination of major issues and escalations, partnering with Service Management and Capability Delivery leaders to ensure technical facts, mitigation actions, and follow-through are clearFacilitate prioritization decisions with the client and Capability Delivery teams when demand exceeds available capacity, ensuring changes are documented and impacts are understoodProtect contractual scope, service commitments, governance standards, and approved funding while helping the client evaluate options for new or changing demandConnect cross-functional dependencies across Clinical Applications, Health Informatics, Infrastructure, End User Services, Non-Clinical Applications, Security, Service Management, vendors, and other partnersIdentify opportunities to improve the client experience through standardization, reusable practices, automation, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and cross-account capabilitiesWork with Capability Delivery teams to establish meaningful outcome measures and communicate the value, adoption, and operational impact of delivered solutionsChampion the ethical, secure, transparent, and accountable use of AI and data across the clinical technology lifecycleProvide leadership and coaching to account-aligned delivery leaders while partnering with Capability people leaders on performance expectations, development priorities, succession needs, and workforce planningPromote a collaborative one-team culture that keeps client relationships with Account Delivery and technical execution, resource management, and solution accountability with IT delivery, clinical application operations, EHR programs, technology consulting, or account delivery within a healthcare provider environment5+ years of experience leading Epic implementation, operational support, optimization, service management, or strategic advancement initiatives5+ years of experience managing executive client relationships, consulting engagements, or enterprise technology programs in healthcare5+ years of direct people leadership or matrixed team leadership experience involving healthcare technology professionalsExperience with account governance, executive reporting, demand prioritization, delivery planning, service reviews, issue escalation, and risk managementProven experience leading through a matrixed operating model and influencing outcomes across teams without relying solely on direct authorityDemonstrated experience driving technology adoption and leveraging automation, analytics, innovative software, or AI tools to solve operational challenges and deliver business valueSolid understanding of clinical and operational workflows and the dependencies among EHR applications, informatics, infrastructure, security, integration, and
