Job Summary Direct Support Professional – Benton, AR (and other nearby locations). Provide assistance daily in clients’ homes and support individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in residential settings, following a person centered service plan. Responsibilities Motivate participants and promote community involvement. Assist participants with budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and developmental goals. Read and write as required; communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers. Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and outings; use of personal vehicle may be required. Understand and carry out instructions; maintain care records and document provided services. Accompany clients to appointments/outings. Conduct weekly food inventory as assigned. Perform moderate to heavy lifting on occasions. Physical Requirements Participate in physical activities, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Assist clients with mobility and socialization activities. Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. Current CPR certification (preferred). Certified Nurse Aid or Home Health Aid (preferred). Current driver license and vehicle insurance; use of personal vehicle may be required. Ability to pass TB skin test, drug screen, and criminal history check. Two (2) years working with developmental disability (preferred). Benefits Bonus and flexible scheduling.
