Roles and Responsibilities Understand and administer the HITT safety program for all subcontractors, ensuring all accidents/incidents are promptly reported and investigated, and assist in safety inspections by outside agencies. Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project. Lead all on‑site safety, managing a safe jobsite for everyone involved. Maintain a daily log of all activities and site conditions, and manage the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance. Work with the project manager to formulate the project schedule, ensuring proper methods and sequence of installation are followed, and maintain HITT quality standards. Maintain good working relationships with all subcontractors, develop community relationships that enhance business opportunities, and treat subcontractors fairly. Ensure complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets, understand subcontractor scope to avoid unnecessary change orders, identify problems early, and act immediately to provide solutions. Develop and organize the site team, arrange for temporary facilities/utilities, and identify long‑lead items that need expedited. Collaborate with the project manager and site operations team throughout the life of the project. Qualifications A four‑year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business (strongly preferred). In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable. 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor, tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast‑paced projects. Mastery of building processes and best practices. Ability to organize necessary resources—including people, tools, and time—to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results. Project lead experience preferred. Previous experience in a superintendent or project lead position preferred. Ability to master sector‑specific software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam; OSHA 30 Certification preferred. Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on audience‑appropriate business writing. Positive attitude, passion for construction, and the ability to collect, interpret, and convey data clearly. Organize and manage tasks and priorities effectively.
