Med-Surg / Long-Term Care Registered Nurse (VA Community Living Center)

Registered Nurse (RN)Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to support operations within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Selected RNs could be called upon to work in an Acute Care Facility or Community Living Center. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesProvide full-scope geriatric nursing care in Community Living Centers.Deliver patient care that meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards.Perform all RN-level clinical tasks required for geriatric patients.Carry out nursing care plans and document care accurately in VA systems.Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and facility protocols.Sign in/out daily; follow COR timekeeping and documentation procedures.Use all VA-provided clinical equipment, technology, and supplies.Report exposures, incidents, or safety concerns per VA policy.QualificationsHolds a diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program, college, or university and hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any State; a Bachelor's degree is preferredHas been practicing actively as an RN in an acute, long-term care setting, inpatient/SNF/geriatric setting for at least the last two yearsIs capable of providing complex and comprehensive nursing care for adult medical and surgical patientsHas and maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationHas no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with performance of assigned dutiesAll candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
