QPS Employment Group is hiring an Assembler for a company in East Troy, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 2nd shift.
Assembly Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Prepare and gather components/materials for assembly
- Assist in the setup and jigging of truss assemblies on assembly table per design drawings
- Place wood components in assembly jig
- Assemble roof trusses, floor trusses, or wall panels using proper tools while taking direction from supervisors and/or leads
- Attach connector plates to trusses as directed by assembly drawings
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components
- Continuously evaluate quality of materials and final product, reporting any defects immediately
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying company's program and work rules
- Accurately record job times/counts and account for personal labor time records appropriately
Assembly Requirements:
- High school diploma for GED
- Experience is a plus but willing to train the right candidate
- Construction related background such a carpentry a plus
- Experience reading construction blueprints
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and moving about all shift
- Ability to lift, move, and push up to 80 pounds
- Ability to follow work instructions and work in a team environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to operate pneumatic tools, hand tools, hammers, and staplers
