CNC Lathe Lead
Calisota Parts is seeking a CNC Lathe Department Lead to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components that meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and production expectations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes according to work instructions and production requirements.
- Load and unload raw material, workpieces, and finished parts.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and routine program adjustments within assigned authority.
Manage department operators and work orders as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance, tool condition, cycle time, and product quality.
- Identify and troubleshoot common machining, tooling, and dimensional issues.
- Communicate concerns promptly to the CNC Lead, Quality, or Engineering.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, scrap, and downtime records.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and operator-level preventive maintenance.
- Support setup reduction, scrap reduction, and other continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- CNC lathe setup and operation experience required.
- Manufacturing or precision machining experience required.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
