• Adult Acute Care experience
• CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Custom Shield experience
• MRI, PET Scan knowledge
• Tumor Localization skills
• Beam Modifying/Positioning abilities
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging experience
• Wedge knowledge
• Ability to calculate dose of radiation
• Experience with Pinnacle and Eclipse systems
• Competence in External Beam Therapy
• Familiarity with IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy
• Experience with ARIA and Varian 21 ex/ix
• Knowledge of lift/transfer devices and isolation precautions
• Understanding of radiation safety procedures
• Experience in the use of rapid response/code teams
• Simulating treatment sites proficiency

Description:

This position requires no RTO after booking, nor can it be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may lead to a cancellation and DNR. Candidates can start directly in the clinic due to not requiring any orientation or dimensions training. The traveler will accept first-time opportunities. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. The daily shift can be either 5 days of 8-hour shifts or 4 days of 10-hour shifts based on departmental needs. The clinic maintains a patient ratio of 1:5. There will be no weekend requirements. Floating between two clinical sites will be necessary. The primary site has multiple Varian linacs and one CT simulator. The secondary site is about a 30-minute drive away. Pending volumes and coverage needs, the traveler will float between both offices. The traveler will not be expected to independently cut blocks, perform CT simulations, or conduct dose calculations. An MD and an RN will be onsite throughout the day. The schedule may occasionally adjust to earlier or later times based on department needs. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. The employee can opt for 10-hour shifts if desired, but this is not mandatory. Therapists do not work alone, as they will always be paired with another therapist. The unit details include interdisciplinary support and interpretation services. The facility will support various patient diagnoses and procedures. The daily patient census is approximately 110. Candidates must be open to floating within and near the facility as needed.
