Summary:

\n

Manages the nursing services and staff for a department; ensures quality and full compliance with relevant policies and standards.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

• Implementing and monitoring programs and practices for the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care for patients and their families
\n • Ensuring consistent application of nursing services policies and standards throughout the organization
\n • Monitoring patient outcomes and quality and effectiveness of nursing care
\n • Overseeing performance of teams; identifying and addressing staff training and development needs
\n • Apprising medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies

\n Standard I: Financial Management

\n • Recognizes the impact of reimbursement on revenue
\n • Understands the relationship between values-based purchasing and quality outcomes with revenue and reimbursement
\n • Creates, monitors, and analyzes a budget; explaining variance
\n • Conducts ongoing evaluation of productivity, forecasting future revenue and expenses
\n • Documents capital appropriations and project authorizations

\n • Monitors regulatory compliance of all healthcare practices to ensure no violations
\n • Evaluates key aspects of pending healthcare regulations and legislation that may impact company
\n • Provides recommendations and implements solutions to existing and potential legal problems
\n • Shares main considerations and issues related to laws and regulations in the implementation of healthcare practices \n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. 
\n
• Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related advanced degree in health health-related field preferred.
\n
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare leadership.
\n
• RN license in good standing in the state of employment or a compact state, if applicable.
\n
• Registered Nurse (RN) required.
\n
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
\n
