Interventional Cardiologist Location: Cottonwood, Arizona Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $358 - $386/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Interventional Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Interventional Cardiologist:

• Provide interventional cardiology coverage within a hospital-based Cardiovascular Institute setting • Manage a caseload of approximately 13 patients per day, serving a patient population aged 55+ • Perform all hospital work including floor consults and incoming STEMI management • Conduct 4-5 procedures per day and 3-4 consults as part of daily responsibilities • Collaborate with a support team of 2 physicians within the cardiology group • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills when working with staff and patients • Utilize Cerner EMR system for clinical documentation and patient records • Complete required Cerner training/orientation (approximately 4 hours, conducted remotely) prior to start • Maintain board certification and active AZ license (IMLC only) throughout the assignment • Maintain active DEA registration • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Demonstrate a minimum of 2+ years of relevant clinical experience • Adhere to COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements or provide applicable exemption documentation • Complete medical records in a timely manner and respond promptly to deficiency notifications • Submit all timesheets and expenses within 30 days with required documentation
