Technical Lead Engineer

To support the development of a cutting-edge Banking-as-a-Service platform, the full-time Technical Lead Engineer will design and architect banking infrastructure, ensuring compliance and reliability while leading event-driven architecture and API design in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Lead engineering efforts for Vantaca's BaaS layer, ensuring compliance with NACHA rules and operational requirements Design and evolve the event-driven architecture for banking transactions, focusing on reliability and fault tolerance Own the design and versioning of APIs for internal teams and client integrations, enforcing backward compatibility and quality standards Required qualifications 7-10 years of experience in backend engineering, particularly with banking platforms and distributed systems Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and API design Familiarity with banking compliance concepts, including NACHA rules and AML/BSA basics Proven track record of defining and evolving APIs with a developer-first mindset Experience with systems that process financial transactions, such as ACH or real-time payments
