RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts for a total of 36 hours per week

• 6 weekend shifts required per every 6-week schedule

• Patient ratio of 1:4 flexing up to 1:5 as needed

• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 41-bed progressive care trauma/telemetry unit

• Provide care for patients with traumatic injuries including gunshot wounds, penetrating injuries, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls

• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and Telemetry certification

• Must complete medication test

• 1+ years of recent unit experience required

• 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required

• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions

• Must complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of receiving login information

• Orientation occurs every Monday

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, blood product administration, wound care, and trauma care

• May be required to float to other qualified units based on census needs

• Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

The facility features a 41-bed unit equipped with advanced telemetry monitoring capabilities for up to 14 patients, providing specialized care for patients who have experienced traumatic injuries requiring surgical intervention.
