Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologists to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. The Department of Anesthesiology has up to 6,000 cases per year and 2,000 deliveries.

Opportunity Details:

• Determines and prescribes kinds of anesthetics and procedures to be employed in various categories of cases.
• Advises Anesthetists and Surgeons in cases where age or condition of patient presents unusual or complex problems.
• Recommends suitable anesthesia, advises on dosages and consults on post-operative complications.
• Reviews case histories and is responsible for all matters pertaining to Anesthesiology.
• Attends clinical conferences.
• 40 hour work week with no embedded call.
• Ability to make more compensation by picking up call/additional hours for coverage.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology
• A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York
• Experience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not required

Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible); $431,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $601,000** (board eligible) and $611,000** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
