Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
TRAVEL - RN - L&D (707) MC Frisco / 7A-7P provides direct, patient-centered care for expectant mothers and newborns in a Labor & Delivery setting. This role manages labor progression, supports delivery planning, and ensures safe clinical outcomes throughout antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess laboring patients and monitor vital signs, fetal status, and clinical changes
• Prepare patients for inductions and cesarean sections while coordinating care needs
• Manage TOLAC patients according to evidence-based nursing protocols
• Support delivery teams by assisting with urgent obstetric procedures and maintaining readiness
• Perform documentation in CPN and Meditech to ensure accurate charting and continuity of care
• Serve as a resource on the unit by maintaining upbeat, positive teamwork and communication

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license and be eligible for travel assignment requirements
• Bring 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Maintain current NRP certification
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
• Demonstrate scrub capability and experience assisting in procedure readiness
• Demonstrate charge experience
