ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Busser supports an exceptional fine dining experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and guest-ready dining environment. This role provides essential support to servers and the front-of-house team through attentive table maintenance, service assistance, and a commitment to hospitality standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Clear, reset, and maintain tables according to fine dining presentation standards.
- Assist servers with food and beverage delivery, water service, and guest requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and guest spaces.
- Restock service stations with linens, flatware, glassware, and necessary supplies.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and culinary teams to support smooth service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and guest service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1–2 years of experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and guest service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, including trays, dishware, and service supplies.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions while completing service duties.
- Ability to move efficiently through busy dining areas.
- Ability to work around kitchen heat, cleaning products, and varying temperatures.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
