Make Ready Technician/Handyman - Weekly Pay!

Location: Norcross, GA 30093

Pay: $20-$21/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Join a busy apartment community where you'll help prepare apartments for new residents while supporting daily maintenance needs. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced in unit turns, general repairs, and fast-paced property operations.

Job Description

• Complete apartment unit turns and make-ready tasks
• Prepare units for move-in through cleaning, repairs, and touch-ups
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
• Install fixtures, hardware, and basic components
• Troubleshoot appliances and complete minor repairs
• Maintain safe work practices and proper use of tools
• Communicate work progress with onsite management and maintenance staff

Key Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready work efficiently and according to community standards
• Inspect units and identify items requiring repair or replacement
• Assist with painting, drywall repairs, caulking, and touch-ups
• Replace light fixtures, outlets, switches, faucets, hardware, and other basic components
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Support the maintenance team with general property needs as needed

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Make Ready or Apartment Maintenance Technician
• General maintenance knowledge, including:
  • Basic electrical
  • Basic plumbing
  • Carpentry and hardware installation
  • Appliance troubleshooting
• Must have own tools
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift/move materials as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Professional communication and a positive attitude
