Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: New York

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour Evening Shift: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM

Job Description: The Emergency Department is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, typically dealing with critical situations. The successful candidate will have both adult and pediatric experience, with the ability to monitor and treat a range of patient diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, document findings, and report changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including drips and pressors.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members on patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Assist in trauma situations as needed and provide support in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while maintaining a high standard of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active New York RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Proof of travel experience is required.
