Programming Project Manager

Join Oorah as a Programming Project Manager and help keep software projects on track. You’ll work with our programming, product, and business teams to make sure everyone knows what’s happening, what needs to get done, and what comes next. This is not a programming role. You don’t need to write code. You just need to be comfortable talking about technology, asking good questions, following up, and helping technical and non-technical teams work well together. What You’ll Do Manage software projects from start to finish Keep programmers, product managers, and business teams on the same page Schedule and lead project meetings Track timelines, priorities and tasks Follow up, ensuring work has forward motion Reduce roadblocks for bottlenecked projects Keep notes, decisions, and next steps organized What We’re Looking For Great communication and people skills Strong organizational and follow-up skills Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical people An ability to understand basic technical ideas and explain them clearly A talent at problem solving and focus to keep things moving Strong confidence in directing questions for clarity A calm and flexible persona, able to handle multiple and simultaneous projects Self-motivated and reliable Experience with Jira or similar tools is a plus Why Join Oorah?
