General Job Description

Duties for this Position
- Oversees, coordinates, and assists with the activities of all rentals, and programs at the recreation facility.
- Assuresthattherecreationfacilityisopenedorclosedandsecuredeachdayat the appropriate times.
- Utilizes Civic Plus software to register customers and process transactions
- Processes transactions, handles credit card and cash payments
- Ensuresproperoperationandmaintenanceofthefacilityandequipmentinsideand makes sure that the Center is in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Withassistanceofotherbuildingstaff,coordinatesprogramsandactivitieswithother departmental divisions, County agencies, community organizations and the general public.
- Initiates and supervise safety measures for all activities.
- Receives and receipts reservation fees for programs.
- Provide friendly ,timely and responsive customer service.
- Performs general clerical duties as needed, including typing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, etc.
- Receives reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and report including accident reports.
- Monitorsandenforcespoliciesregardingtheuseofthepublicbuildingandpark lot.
- Occupancy rate is enforced during all times including rentals.
- Maintains consistent record of building use and up dates supervisor as needed.
- Maybeaskedtoassistwithprogramsoperatinginfacilityincludinggames,crafts, special events, childcare programs, athletic programs, community events, etc.
- All other duties assigned related to the job.
- Practicescontinuouslearningthroughindividualstudy,classroomtraining,seminarsand conferences.
- Knowledgeofpreparingandassistingwithrecreationalprograms,athleticactivities,clerical skills, and coordinating of recreational facilities preferred.
- Abilitytoquicklyadaptandlearncomputerprogramsincludingtheuseofonlinesoftware, word processing, financial and registration software
- Demonstrated customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Critical thinking skills ability to problem solve in difficult situations
- Desire to contribute to a team environment
- Ability to follow directions and take one responsibilities without being tasked
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred. 1 year of general office/clerical experience and/or 3+ years of experience in the Parks and Recreation or building operationsmanagementfieldoranyequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperienceproviding the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
