Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to an adult population. The role involves essential functions adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Clinical competence and experience in the management of acute care patients is required. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is necessary for eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
