Copy of Clinical Applications Engineer

Intuitive Surgical

Clinical Applications Engineer supporting early adoption of robotic minimally invasive surgery systems. Role involves training clinical users, providing procedural support at hospital sites, and gathering feedback to inform product development.

Responsibilities

Provide procedural support to new robotic system sites to ensure safety and effective progression
Train physicians and clinical staff on effective use of equipment during clinical procedures
Identify adoption barriers and collaborate with training partners to address clinical user concerns
Maintain current knowledge of product instructions, best practices, scientific literature, and technical troubleshooting
Share product feedback and best practices with development and engineering teams

Requirements

Minimum 2 years technical or clinical healthcare experience
Hospital navigation and procedure support experience required
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or healthcare-based field
Experience with complex technical systems and critical patient care settings
Ability to travel up to 70% and work nights/weekends as needed
Strong problem-solving and communication skills in high-pressure environments
Self-starter capable of autonomous work in dynamic, remote team settings
