Registered Respiratory Therapist Part Time Peds

Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor, the Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages in accordance with accepted respiratory care practices and established departmental and hospital guidelines. The role participates in patient-specific care standards, follows service excellence standards, and ensures high levels of patient satisfaction. Essential Job Responsibilities Prioritize work appropriately and complete assignments in a timely fashion. Complete all required documentation with special attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrate competency in proper airway care, including airway suctioning, oral and nasal airway care, cuff pressure monitoring, and extubation. Perform routine patient assessment and correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction. Perform quality control procedures as required. Gain competency in new procedures in a timely fashion as they are incorporated into departmental practices. Serve as shift Lead Therapist on a periodic basis. Reflect SDH Service Excellence standards in every interaction. Maintain conduct that reflects company values and the Code of Conduct ethics and compliance program. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitation certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State). Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or related field. Benefits No travel required.
