Bartender - The Spot

We are seeking a bartender to join our team. The successful candidate will have an energetic, outgoing, and fun personality while maintaining professionalism. Responsibilities: Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of proper steps of service. Offer polite, professional, and courteous customer service. Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests. Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to drink recipe. Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer. Take beverage orders from serving staff or from guests. Complete all side work as assigned. Be well-versed in the products to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items. Check guests’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption. Present and encourage current promotions to guests. Accurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guests. Accurately account for all sales and receipts and record tips as outlined in company policies and procedures. Qualifications: At least 1-2 years of experience with bartending at high-volume bars and/or nightclubs. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments. Formal bartending training preferred. Must meet state legal age requirements. Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. Requirements: Handling, carrying, or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. Moving about the bar, lounge, and kitchen efficiently and safely. Handling food, objects, products, and utensils effectively and safely. Bending, standing, stooping, kneeling.
