Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Location: Great Barrington, MA
Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
On-Call Requirement: Required (Rotating Call Schedule)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery.
• Perform surgical counts and ensure compliance with sterile technique standards.
• Assist with room setup, patient positioning, and equipment preparation.
• Maintain proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Support a variety of surgical specialties, including:
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Gynecology
  • Urology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Plastic Surgery
• Participate in on-call coverage and emergency surgical procedures as required.
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current CST experience required.
• Active NBSTSA Certification required (NCCT not accepted).
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Experience in a hospital operating room setting required.
• Must be willing to take call and work scheduled weekends.
• Must have a personal vehicle for the assignment.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
