About the Job:

As a Care Team Specialist at Family First Funeral & Cremation Services, you will be the face of our organization! We are dedicated and teamwork-driven. You will work closely with funeral homes, medical examiners, and first responders to safely, respectfully, and successfully transport the deceased.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely transport human remains for funeral homes, medical examiners, and body donation agencies.
• Interact with grieving family members and various state agency personnel.
• Work and collaborate as a team to complete removals.
• Abide by safe removal procedures and practices.
• Completion of records of transport and other paperwork needed by funeral homes, medical examiners' offices, ETC.
• Keeping company vehicles clean and in proper working order.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a black suit, white dress shirt, black dress shoes, and black socks.
• Facial hair kept neat and clean, good hygiene, modest piercings.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight.
• An understanding of “On Call” work schedule and pay.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to get to work.
• Must live in Kalamazoo or Portage, MI.
• Ability to lift and carry 100-150 Lbs.
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to ever changing situations/ environments.
