Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Manufacturing Cell Lead (MCL) is accountable for all manufacturing-related activities within a production or depot-manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will report to a Value Stream Leader, on our Tucson, AZ site and be accountable for the daily management and direction of up to 20+ touch labor employees within one shift. The MCL will be tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional support employees to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-of-item products. Additionally, MCL will have accountability for the quality of production, and depot products, while being delivered on time at or below cost targets. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role.What You Will DoInterface and interactions with site LeadershipSchedule, Quality and Cost performance management of assigned work areasProvide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environmentCommunication of customer and site requirements to bargaining unit workforceInterface with support employees including planning, engineering, quality and other ValueStream Leaders across shiftsManage and lead up to 20+ touch personnelPerform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reportingtasks in support of the manufacturing workflowPrioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality,and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirementsEnsure compliance with all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives and work instructionsThis shift will be weekends: Friday - Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Other needed hours can be made up during the week, if needed.Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience.Experience with either manufacturing or operations.Supervisory or managerial experience.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
