The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Department Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and others health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing./ppEssential Functions:/pulliDirects and supervises less skilled nursing/health care personnel, or supervises a particular unit on one shift/liliPrepares patients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments/liliAssesses the needs of individuals, families, and/or communities, including assessment of individuals home and/or work environments to identify potential health or safety problems/liliInstructs individuals, families, and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and childbirth, and develops health improvement programs/liliPrepares rooms, sterilizes instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained/li/ulpAdditional Duties:/pulliAdministers oral, inhalation, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal and other routes/liliConducts specified laboratory tests as directed in CareSTL Healths Policies and Procedures for Standing Orders under the direction of a physician/liliDirects and coordinates infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions/liliProvides or arrange for training/instruction of auxiliary personnel and community stakeholders Refers patients to specialized health resources or community agencies/liliConsults with institutions or associations regarding issues and concerns relevant to the practice and the profession of nursing/liliWorks with individuals, groups, and families to plan and implement programs designed to improve the overall health of communities outcomes/liliCommunicates with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills Performs additional duties as/li/ulpJob Requirements and Qualifications:/pulliGraduate of an accredited school of Nursing required/liliValid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri required Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) required Current CPR Certification required/lili0-5 yrs of experience in a Community Health Center/li/ulpAdditional Information:/pulliClinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m./lili11 paid holidays per year./liliFull benefits package./liliPublic Service Loan Forgiveness./li/ulp*We believe that health care is right and not a privilege.
