The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in project pursuit strategy, client development, and preconstruction leadership, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Job Description Lead preconstruction and estimating activities for civil, structural, and building construction projects. Identify, evaluate, and pursue new project opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and detailed construction estimates. Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project budgets and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals. Create bidder lists and solicit pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers. Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure complete scope coverage and cost competitiveness. Participate in client presentations, budget reviews, and GMP discussions. Collaborate with design teams to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions. Maintain historical cost databases and market pricing information. Assist with construction planning, project phasing, logistics planning, and preliminary schedules. Attend owner, architect, engineer, and consultant meetings throughout the preconstruction process. Support project turnover activities and partner with operations teams to ensure a seamless transition. Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress and compare field conditions with estimating assumptions. Provide leadership and mentorship within the estimating and preconstruction team. Serve as a key Senior Estimator supporting both public and private sector projects. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic resource throughout the project lifecycle as a Senior Estimator. The Successful Applicant 10+ years of preconstruction and estimating experience. Strong background in civil and structural construction projects. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience preparing estimates from conceptual design through GMP development. Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, and quantity takeoff software. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams. OSHA certification preferred.
