Details Burn ICU unit caring for adult and pediatric burn trauma patients Patient population includes flame, scald, electrical, chemical burns, inhalation injuries, necrotic ischemia, and necrotizing fasciitis Primary RN care model with 1:2 nursing ratios for critical care patients 1:1 nursing support provided for burn trauma code 1 admissions, high acuity, and post-operative patients Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30 12-hour shifts on a 12-week assignment Requirements Active IN or compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA required) Minimum 2 years of experience required Experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring, IV drip titration, and nurse-driven burn fluid resuscitation using the Parkland formula Ventilator management and CVVH experience required Experience with Q1h pulse and flap doppler checks, initial debridement, and dressing changes required Experience with conscious sedation, surgical recovery, and epidural pump management required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address Additional Information Provide comprehensive critical care nursing throughout the continuum of burn trauma care Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager 45 days prior to assignment end date American Traveler Job ID P-714408.
