Krista is preparing to launch her first book — Performance Begins on Day One: Reimagining Performance Management Through Continuous Feedback and Radical Clarity — and is simultaneously building out her consulting, workshop, and speaking offerings. This is an exciting, high-momentum moment in the business, and the right person will be stepping into something meaningful.

The Opportunity

This is a project-based, part-time engagement for a creative, organized, and purpose-driven Marketing & Content Coordinator to support the launch of Performance Begins on Day One and the ongoing content and marketing needs of Zone Walk Solutions.

This is not a traditional virtual assistant role. The right candidate brings marketing and content instincts, enough initiative to move things forward with limited oversight, and a genuine connection to the mission of developing leaders and building strong organizations.

Scope of Engagement

This is an initial 90-day project-based engagement running from approximately June through August 2025, with strong potential to extend and grow based on mutual fit and business needs.

Estimated commitment: 10–15 hours per week. Occasional in-person meetings in the central NJ area are expected and valued.

Core Responsibilities

Book Launch Support

•       Coordinate book launch event logistics — venue research and outreach, vendor communication, timeline management, and day-of execution support

•       Support the LinkedIn launch sequence — scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and flagging response opportunities

•       Manage book tour venue outreach — researching bookstores, libraries, corporate venues, and associations for regional NJ/NY appearances

•       Assist with advance review campaign — tracking outreach, managing the list of reviewers, and following up as needed

•       Support Amazon KDP setup and ensure all listing elements are in place and optimized at launch

Content Development & Marketing

•       Support the ongoing LinkedIn series — formatting posts, scheduling, and monitoring performance

•       Assist with the development of marketing assets in Canva — quote cards, event graphics, promotional materials — consistent with established brand guidelines

•       Support podcast outreach — researching target shows, drafting pitch emails, tracking responses, and managing the outreach calendar

•       Assist with workshop marketing materials — one-pagers, presentation decks, and promotional content for the Performance Begins on Day One workshop and other Zone Walk Solutions offerings

•       Support email list building and MailerLite management — including the welcome sequence, lead magnet distribution, and periodic broadcast emails

General Coordination

•       Maintain a shared project tracker covering all active launch and marketing workstreams

•       Research and compile information on speaking opportunities, conference submissions, and association partnerships

•       Support outreach communications — drafting, formatting, and tracking business development emails and follow-ups

•       Attend periodic in-person working sessions in the central NJ area to align on priorities and work through key decisions collaboratively

•       Some general administrative support, as needed

What We're Looking For

Required

•       Background in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field

•       Proficiency in Canva and MS Office or Google Suite, or a strong desire to learn quickly

•       Some exposure to leveraging AI platforms and a genuine enthusiasm to advance in this area

•       Excellent written communication skills — you understand tone, voice, and how words land

•       Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

•       Self-directed and comfortable working with limited day-to-day supervision

•       Based in New Jersey or the immediate metro area, with availability for occasional in-person meetings

Preferred

•       Familiarity with LinkedIn as a professional content platform

•       Experience with MailerLite, Mailchimp, or a similar email marketing platform

•       Interest in leadership, organizational culture, performance management, or professional development

•       Prior experience supporting a solo entrepreneur, consultant, author, or speaker

•       Prior event planning experience

Compensation

This engagement is structured as an independent contractor / freelance arrangement. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation Range

•       Hourly: $20–$40 per hour depending on experience level

•       Project-based flat fee option also available: $3,000–$5,500 for the initial 90-day engagement

•       Strong potential for ongoing engagement and expanded scope following the initial project
