Hiring: Senior Cloud Engineer – Microsoft Azure (Oil & Gas Domain)

Location: Onsite – Houston, Texas, USA
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud architecture, DevOps automation, security, and enterprise infrastructure . The ideal candidate will support cloud transformation initiatives within the Oil & Gas domain by designing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

☁️ Azure Cloud Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement scalable, secure Azure cloud architectures
• Define cloud governance, standards, and best practices
• Lead cloud migration strategies (Lift & Shift, modernization, refactoring)
• Deploy and manage Azure services including:
  • Azure VMs
  • App Services
  • AKS
  • Azure Functions
  • Storage Services

⚙️ Cloud Operations & Optimization

• Manage high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure performance and cost
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and hybrid connectivity issues

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions
• Automate infrastructure deployment using:
  • Terraform
  • ARM Templates
  • Bicep
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Support Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments

Cloud Security & Compliance

• Implement Azure security solutions:
  • Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Key Vault
  • Defender for Cloud
  • Sentinel
• Manage IAM, RBAC, policies, and governance
• Support security compliance requirements in Oil & Gas environments

Azure Networking

• Design and manage:
  • Azure Virtual Networks
  • NSG
  • VPN
  • ExpressRoute
  • Load Balancer
  • Application Gateway
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✅ 5+ years IT experience with 3+ years Azure hands-on experience
✅ Strong experience with Azure architecture and cloud operations
✅ Expertise in:

• Azure Compute (VM, AKS, App Services)
• Azure Networking (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute)
• Azure Storage (Blob, File, Disk)
• Azure Identity (Azure AD, RBAC)

✅ Experience with:

• Terraform / ARM / Bicep
• Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions
• Docker & Kubernetes
• PowerShell / Python / Bash scripting

✅ Knowledge of:

• Azure Monitor
• Log Analytics
• Application Insights
• Cloud security best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

⭐ AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect
⭐ AZ-104 Azure Administrator
⭐ AZ-400 Azure DevOps Engineer
⭐ Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP)
⭐ FinOps / Cost Optimization experience
⭐ Oil & Gas / Energy domain experience preferred
