Paralegal

A well-established law firm in Akron, Ohio is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to support its Trusts & Estates practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal who is comfortable managing probate matters from start to finish and working directly with attorneys, clients, and the probate court. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration matters Prepare and file probate documents, including applications, inventories, accounts, and distributions Draft correspondence, pleadings, and routine court filings Manage deadlines, court dates, and calendaring for probate matters Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, courts, and financial institutions Organize and maintain probate files, both physical and electronic Track estate assets, expenses, and distributions Ensure compliance with Ohio probate court rules and procedures Qualifications 2+ years of probate or trust & estate paralegal experience required Strong knowledge of Ohio probate procedures and filings Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Benefits Stable and collegial law firm environment Meaningful work assisting families through estate administration Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience Benefits package may include health insurance, PTO, and retirement options The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 – $85,000.
