We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts, asset management, and general ledger accounting.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Tax Prep
• understanding of financial concepts, asset management, and general ledger accounting
• Proven experience in public accounting with a focus on tax management
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, auditing practices, and general ledger accounting
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and guidelines
• Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
• Familiar with QuickBooks software for efficient financial tracking and reporting for clients
• Assist junior staff members, providing training and mentorship as needed
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of specialized industry and/or regulatory requirements
• Help to manage and monitor preparation and review of complex S Corporation, C Corporation, partnership, multistate and individual tax returns, including projections and estimate calculations
• Assist to manage the workflow, including proper delegation to staff according to their experience
• Review the tax working papers and determine that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the engagement letter
• Conduct tax research to develop innovative solutions for our clients
• Participate in and actively seeks training to maintain current technical knowledge
