RN Med/Surg

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical care. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a small, rural hospital setting. Key responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. The role demands strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to deliver high-quality nursing care during night shifts. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and monitor medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Provide nursing care to a wide variety of patients in a medical/surgical setting.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies during assigned shifts.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in a rural hospital environment.
• Additional specialty certifications related to medical/surgical nursing.

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to work night shifts consistently.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a small, rural hospital setting.
• Shift schedule includes 6 consecutive nights on followed by 8 nights off after orientation.

Scheduling:

• Night shift schedule: 6 nights on, followed by 8 nights off.
• Shift assignments begin after completion of an orientation period.
