Manufacturing Engineer5800 Industrial Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111 IL180 Manufacturing Facility Full-timeOVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, quality, heat treat and customer service departments.RESPONSIBILITIES:Designing tooling for cold/hot heading, secondary processes and gagingTroubleshooting manufacturing processes, machinery, tooling and gagingInitiating recommendations for tooling materials, speeds, feeds and equipment setupResearching capital appropriations for manufacturing equipment upgrades and replacementsProviding effective recommendations for the improvement of operational methods to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product qualityAssisting with quoting and costing activitiesPromoting and implementing continuous improvement programsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Possess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in EngineeringExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteHighly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsExhibit strong orientation toward continuous improvementLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Prior experiencing using CAD (Solidworks/AutoDesk, Inventor)ABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
