Basic Function

HF Sinclair is looking for a ERP Programmer in Dallas, TX, who will conduct SAP Programming Duties for moderate to moderately complex projects for the Information Technology Department under general supervision.

Job Duties

• Performs various and assigned programming (i.e. ABAP or JAVA) with a focus on one or more of the following areas as assigned: interfaces, workflow and forms
• Works in a project team environment and integrates with the business, functional, technical and other team members in an effort to meet firm project deadlines on RICEFW objects
• Develops practices and procedures to manage technologies based on “best practice” standards
• Leads effort to develop technical standards to support and operate technologies within the system landscape
• Coordinates with business/functional analyst on conversion and interface projects as well as understanding the related business processes
• Creates and maintains reports, forms, interfaces, and enhancements as needed for end users
• Resolves ABAP programming problems to more efficiently utilize computer resources
• Develop Fiori apps using SAP BTP platform
• Develops apps using ABAP cloud environment and object oriented concepts
• Build CDS views using SAP HANA
• Develop forms and workflow using other tools like Winshuttle and integrate it with SAP
• Collaborates with team to determine strategy and plan for system implementations and upgrades
• May act as back support of PI or XI Exchange Infrastructure

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of five years of job related SAP ABAP work experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Services or related Degree is required.

Required Skills

Advanced knowledge and principles, methods and techniques used in developing ABAP software programs in SAP and experience working in SAP BTP. Personal computer (PC), mini-computer operations, capabilities and limitations. The ability to interpret and follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Broad knowledge of SAP functional areas particularly in SD, MM, FI-CO and HR. Depending on assignment of focus (i.e. interfaces, workflow, and/or forms), proficient in Object Oriented programming, Report Writing using ALV and ABAP lists, Sapscripts, Smart forms and Adobe Forms, ABAP Query, Depending on assignment of focus (i.e. interfaces, workflow, and/or forms), Dialog programming, Interfaces, BADIs/BAPIs/RFCs/BTEs, IDocs and ALE/EDI, User exits/enhancements, BDCs, and LSMW. Experience building SAP Fiori apps using BTP platform. Depending on assignment, required to have working knowledge and skills in Workflow configuration and development. Knowledge of other workflow tools like Winshuttle and integration with SAP. Intermediate reading and writing skills, organizational skills, planning, team work, decision making, judgment and problem solving. The ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Preferred skill

Project Management skills or experience implementing large scale IT projects. Special training and/or Certifications in ERP 2005 (SAP ECC 6.0); BI or XI or Portal - Netweaver 2004 (7.0); Crystal Reports Enterprise edition 11.0; Virsa 4.0 and 5.2; DBMS - MS SQL Server 2000 8.00.2039 (Intel X86) SP4 Enterprise Edition; and OS - Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 1) Advanced Server, are preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

May supervise junior level ABAP Developers and/or act as team lead on large projects.

Work Conditions

Office based with travel up to 30% required by land or air. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. Occasional long hours, as well as nights and weekends as needed.
