Job Description - Advanced Practice Provider Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) (260007JV) Advanced Practice Provider Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) - ( 260007JV ) Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to work Part Time in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. Responsible for the management of post op cardiac surgery patients, heart transplants, lung transplants, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory devices including but not limited to ECMO and LVAD’s. The APP will work 12 hours shifts rotating day/night, weekends, holidays. APP experience required and prior surgery and ICU experience preferred. Nurse Practitioners must be Acute Care. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required) Experience Qualifications 1+ years as a Physician Assistant required 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner required Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency) Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency) Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and Maintain national PA Certification (Required) Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
