Overview RN Manager, Nursing and Patient Care Services – Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility in Norfolk, VA. Location Norfolk, VA Department Nursing and Patient Care Services Work Shift First (Days) Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of assigned units or departments. Foster a high-performing nursing team through coaching, mentorship, and support. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and staff to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Promote professional development and a positive, inclusive work environment. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting. Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership or charge nurse experience. Critical Care experience. Strong communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills. Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (a plus). Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision plans.
