Fleet MechanicThis position performs major and minor repairs/service work to Menards Fleet, consisting of forklifts, cars/trucks, trailers, etc.Primary Responsibilities:Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repairRepair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related partsPerform maintenance work to DOT standards for over the road equipmentPerform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane and battery powered engines/equipmentGeneral repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet unitsPerform preventative maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspectionsClean and maintain the work area and equipmentMaintain records on all maintenance and repair work performedSkills Required:Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsAbility to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsKnowledge of standard practices, equipment, and tools of the fleet equipment tradeKnowledge of forklift and automobile mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to lift 75+lbsAbility to understand and follow written and oral instructionsBasic welding and maintenance experience
