Operating Room (OR) Nurse - On Call

Location: Lewisville, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 6:30 AM - 5 PM, On call required

Job Description: The Operating Room Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities include assisting in general, gynecological, orthopedic, spinal, vascular, and robotic surgeries. Previous experience in the operating room is crucial to meet the demands of this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures across various specialties
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure quality care
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control procedures
• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and report any complications

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous operating room experience required
• Current nursing license in the state of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Additional certifications may be required based on specialty
