Schedule & Weekends: Modified self-scheduling (accommodates block scheduling where possible); minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling block. No on-call required. May float to ED or Med/Surg only if experienced. Base Compensation: $31.00 – $47.00/hour depending on years of acute critical care experience. Bonus Incentives ($15,000 Total): $10,000 Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 paid at 90 days; $5,000 paid at 12 months (no repayment required). $5,000 Relocation Assistance: Typically paid out on the first paycheck (requires a 1-year commitment; repayable if leaving before 12 months). Unit Dynamics: 12 beds; standard 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. 24/7 dedicated in-unit RT, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. 24/7 Administrative Shift Coordinator in house. Clinical Scope: Post-heart cath, STEMI, mechanical vents (typically 1–2 on unit), DKA, sepsis, CVA after tPA, A-lines, hypothermia protocols, and multi-titration vasoactive drips.
